    Nelson Municipal Election: Candidating

    Group Debate/Meet October 4th 2018: Candi-dating at the Library These are some rough notes from the Candidating Event hosted by SPAN at the Nelson Public Library on October 4th 2018. These are from the group forum held between 8 and 9pm. Due to the number of candidates at the event, there were rotating questions and random draws for who-answered what. From these notes I kept as much of the substance as possible while transcribing; I did not use an audio recorder and this is not a transcription.

    QGIS 3.0 XYZ Tile Layers

    How to add common web basemaps to QGIS Since QGIS 3.0 changed the underlying Python API for developing plugins, a number of plugin authors have yet to update their plugs to match. One important common plugin yet to be updated—that I get a fair amount of use out of—is QuickMapServices (QMS). Without it, it can be difficult to find and add common basemap layers. There is however an alternative: you can directly add XYZ Tile Layers to your QGIS map document.
